How is custom work priced?

Why not just use a plugin?
Often a plugin is the right answer, and we say so. Custom work makes sense when plugins can't do the job, conflict with each other, or load far more than you need.
Who owns the code?
You do, once the work is paid for. Custom code is documented and stays in your site, not on a platform you rent from us.
Will custom code break when WordPress updates?
We write it to WordPress coding standards and test it on a copy of your site before launch. On a care plan, updates are tested against your custom code every week.
Can you fix custom code another developer wrote?
Yes. We review it first, tell you what we found, and quote the fix or a rewrite at a fixed price.
What if it takes longer than planned?
The quote doesn't change. If it takes us longer than planned, that's our cost.
