1. Who you're contracting with
MapleWP is a trading name of Sodelia Inc., which provides the services and issues every invoice. "We" and "us" in these terms mean Sodelia Inc.. "You" means the business that hires us.
2. Fixed prices and scope
Every project has a written scope and a fixed price. The price covers the work described in the scope. If it takes us longer than planned to deliver that work, that's our cost and the price does not change. Anything you ask for that is not in the scope is quoted in writing before work on it starts, and is only done if you approve it. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
3. Prices and payment
- Emergency fix ($599) and hacked site cleanup ($899) are paid upfront by card.
- Speed audit and optimization ($999) is paid half to start and the balance after you have seen the new score on a staging copy of your site, before the changes go live.
- Website builds are paid in three milestones: 40% to start, 40% when you approve the design or staging site, and 20% at launch.
- Care plans ($249/month, WooCommerce Care $449/month) are billed monthly in advance. Extra work on a care plan is $125/hour or a fixed quote, approved by you first. Unused development hours do not roll over.
- White-label work for agencies is $95/hour or a fixed quote, invoiced monthly.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax that applies.
4. Our guarantees and their conditions
No fix, no charge. For an emergency fix or a hacked site cleanup, if we cannot resolve the problem you ordered the fix for, we refund the fee in full. If the problem needs work beyond an emergency fix, such as a rebuild, we tell you before doing it and you decide; declining that work does not affect the refund. The guarantee does not apply if we could not get the access we asked for, or if the cause is a hosting failure outside our control and outside your account.
Free re-clean within 30 days. If a site we cleaned is reinfected within 30 days of our cleanup, we clean it again at no charge. This does not apply if the reinfection comes through a plugin, theme or user account added after our cleanup, through passwords that were not changed when we asked, or through a server or hosting account we do not manage.
Speed money back. If the mobile PageSpeed score of the pages we agree at the start does not improve after our work, we refund what you paid. Scores are measured with Google PageSpeed Insights on the same pages before and after, and the after score is taken on the staging copy before you pay the balance.
Overruns are our cost. On a fixed-price build, extra time we spend delivering the agreed scope is not billed to you.
5. Care plans and cancellation
Care plans run month to month with no minimum term. You can cancel any month by telling us before your next billing date; the plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for. A build includes 3 months of the Care plan, an emergency fix 30 days and a hack cleanup 60 days; after that a plan only continues if you choose to start it.
6. What we need from you
- Access to your site, hosting and any accounts the work requires
- Your content, such as text, images and product data, by the dates agreed in the scope
- Feedback and approvals in time to keep milestones on schedule
If a delay on your side moves a milestone, the launch date moves with it; the price does not.
7. Ownership
When you have paid in full, you own the website we build for you, including its design and the custom code we write. Third-party plugins, themes and fonts remain subject to their own licences.
8. Third-party software and hosting
WordPress sites depend on plugins, themes and hosting run by other companies. We are not responsible for outages, security issues or changes caused by those providers, though we will help fix problems they cause under your care plan or a new quote.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim about our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.
10. Ending a project
Either side can end a project with written notice. You pay for the milestones completed up to that point, and we hand over everything built so far.
11. Governing law
The governing law for these terms will be confirmed here before launch.
