The situation
Like most independent hotels, A boutique hotel took nearly all of its bookings through third-party booking sites. Each of those bookings cost a commission. The hotel's own website looked fine but couldn't take a booking, so even guests who found the hotel directly were sent somewhere else to pay.
The goal was simple: give guests a reason and a way to book with the hotel itself.
What we built
A new WordPress website built around a direct booking flow. Guests choose their dates, see availability and book on the hotel's own site. The rooms, the location and what's included with a direct booking are on the pages guests actually read before deciding.
The work followed our usual process: a written scope with one fixed price, design approved before the build, the site built on staging where the hotel could click through every page, then launch.
The result
15% of the hotel's bookings now come direct instead of through commission-based booking sites.
Every one of those bookings is one the hotel doesn't pay a commission on.
After launch
Launch was followed by the care plan: tested updates, daily backups and monitoring, with developer time each month for changes such as seasonal offers.
